I still cannot believe we leave for the beautiful country of Uganda in three short days! An exciting blessing that I have no words to describe, well, almost no words. ;-)
Our incredible team of 25 will board an American Airlines plane on June 12 at 7:15 am and begin a long journey to Kampala, Uganda. Along the way, we will stop in Chicago and Brussels to enjoy the sights and sounds of ........ the airport before arriving in Entebbe on June 13 at 7:40 pm. Uganda is 10 hours ahead of PST so it will be 5:40 am for us Californians. Crazy!
Hopefully, I will post updates and share photos daily while in Uganda. If I am unable to submit my own posts, Cathy Nordlund and Barrie Dahl have graciously offered to be my substitute 'bloggers'.
As I sit to post (for the third time....don't ask) this first entry, the reality of returning to my second home in Kampala has just sunk in....wow, God is faithful all the time!!! It's difficult to believe the summer of 2005 was only a few short years ago, and yet it feels as though decades have past since I last hugged and danced with my dear little friends at God Cares School. I feel blessed and humbled to have been given this opportunity to share Uganda with my 24 teammates. The people and the country hold a special place heart and soul, and I cannot wait to be among my Ugandan family again!

Yes, Susi, thank you in advance for all the time you have already invested in our kids and in the trip. We will look for details as often as you are able to post and will continue to pray for all 25 daily.
